I got transferred again! I’m on my 10 area with my 16 companion, but I’m still not back in Spanish work. To be honest, I don’t think I’m going to be going back to Spanish work, which is kind of disappointing, but I know that I’m where I need to be.
The area that I’m in requires us to do missionary work a bit differently here. The best way to find new people is through family history, so we have to do about 2 hours of family history training every week. So we are basically family history consultants down here. That’s fun, I’m finally doing what we’ve been encouraged to do forever!
This zone is also considered to be a harder zone because of how hard it is to find people to teach, so I’m fighting to try and change the status quo and thought process here. A bunch of people just want to give up and head home at 8 at night, they don’t want to visit people or knock doors at night. I have found quite a few people knocking doors at night though, so I’m not too worried about doing that.
I’m not living with just one companionship either, so that’s been a ton of fun. One of the elders that lives with us is called Elder Wright, and he’s probably my favourite missionary that isn’t one of my companions.
I also cover three wards, so Sundays are super long. Yesterday we had church meetings from 8:30-4:00. We were so exhausted.
Well, I love you all! Write you next week!
